Prick Test

image028_tmb.jpgThe Prick Test is a procedure, which identifies allergies. Various substances, which are suspected of causing an allergy, are applied to the skin.  

More findings are collected by similar rub, scratch and intercutaneous tests.

The skin reaction, such as light reddening or the occurrence of wheals will determine which course of therapy should be taken.

Epicutantest

image0152_tmb.jpgWe test contact substances in an epicutaneous test, in which the questionable substance is applied to the skin with a bandage. Then the allergic reactions to the substances can be precisely identified after 2 or 3 days.
 

 

 

Unusual allergies require special test procedures. For these, we conduct, for example, nasal and oral provocation tests. Using measuring equipment, the influence on the body can be detected using special test equipment.
